Again
It's a love hate relationship where food is concerned.
You want good food, you have to queue.
If there is no queue, you doubt the food's good.
We arrived at Wild Honey during noon..
The lady at the door told us we might have to wait an hour to an hour and a half.
We left our phone numbers and she would give us a call when it's our turn.
For the whole hour, only about a couple of patrons left the cafe.
We had a whole full page of names to clear before our turn.
With hunger sucking at our tummies, it was quite unbearable in fact.
Who says A Hungry Man is an Angry Man..?
It applies to woman as well -.-
We went upstairs to check out Jones the Grocer..
Only to find there's also a queue, but a shorter one.
Jones was a faster queue.
We got our seats reasonably fast.
But as we were settling down at Jones and being served water,
Wild Honey called us and asked if we would be interested in their counter seats.
That was a dilemma.
Very hesitantly,
We decided to go for Wild Honey.
The amiable service staff at Jones left a good impression on us.
She smiled and told us it was alright and told us she hoped to see us the next time.
We left Jones apologetically.
The counter seats faced the window away from the entire cafe.
We proceeded to the counter to order our food.
The variety was apparent.
Mostly the breakfast of various European and western countries..
Like Belgium, Scandinavian, Canadian, Mexican etcetera..
Gawd food was good!
The English Breakfast was huge!
European Breakfast
Two big poached eggs wrapped in soft bacon.
Let's watch the egg ooze..=p
Well one thing about counter seats
Hunched postures..
Weird camera angles..
We just could not sit up straight for long..
But we get to lean against the table and do self shots shamelessly without anyone's disgusted stares..
LOL

After the fulfilling brunch,
We went over to Far East for the Lumix Blogshop Runway..
I guessed as much the event could not emit the kind of feel that the word "Runway" would give.
Atmosphere was bland, too much make-believe.
Even the number of photographers was more tasteful than the atmosphere..
The emcee caught hold one of the photographers who had been there even before we arrived.
He was standing very eagerly at the front of the stage.
She asked him over the microphone,
“Are you here to take pictures or see pretty girls”
There’s a reason why the runways are best left to the stick thin toned and tall models..
Asians lose out in height, no doubt.
But they have a more bubbly personality.
So instead of trying to do that cool and brazen catwalk like the Caucasians and walk funny..
I thought it would be better to be themselves.
Just like how the Japanese had a style they called own.
Dont get me wrong..
Some of them are really pretty, just that the identity crisis was obvious.
Imagine donning a Japanese hairstyle (nice ash brown big curls) and trying to look killer cool..?
*****
We walked around Far East,
Checking out the "new trends" but in no mood to buy things.
Suki suddenly had an idea..
We thought we would go check out the maxis and see how we looked like in them..
Before we could find any maxis..
She had to leave for another destination.
I loved these long sun dresses even before they were in trend..
Dont remember them being classified as maxis before..
My idea is that such a dress complimented the beach damn well..
So I already had the exact design in mind..
Because all the maxis on sale now had flowery prints,
I did not know if I could find the one I wanted.
Honestly speaking,
Their abundance everywhere recently turned me very off..
But not soon after Suki left,
I found the one and only one I would ever consider buying.
Just that this one had rocket high prices =x
