Crestfallen

Reached a bottleneck
With no way out of the long dark tunnel..
And I hated the job to the guts..
I was repulsive towards everyone..
Everyone.
And I wanted to stay away from civilisation.
Stay away from logic.
Thoughts mired
Words stumped.
My mind refused to accept any form of negotiations.

I was at the bottom of the large crashing wave
Perplexed and baffled
Unable to find my way up.
No help given to me
And the world went against you.
But still I had to render help everywhere.
I was disheartened..
I was tired.
Overwhelmed with exhaustion.

Then that moment came.
Spirits lifted, that invisible hand guided me.
My stocks issues got worse..
That trepidation remained.
But I felt liberated after the longest ever down period.

The aftermath of a thunderstorm..
Is it all calm and peaceful?
Or is it the beginning of another storm?

Pressure Cooker

Drudgery once again..
A kind of suffocation somehow different from the past.
The brain supercharged itself with no avenue to let off steam.
This stress level is teary and hard to bear..
But indefinitely groomed me.

After the rain, you'll see sunshine
But after sunshine, there bound to be rain again.
Immediately after the trip,
Cant breathe at all.
I dont remember what I ate for breakfast
I dont remember where I went for lunch
But I remember every single email I need to follow up.
My dreams consisted of numbers..
My nightmares contained excel files.
I dreamt that I sat in a cylinder ride that plunges without safety harness..
Cant sleep at all.

Classes starting again..
Two colleagues down
Closing month,
Kaizen coming up..
Wish me luck.

Burnt Out

Funny how I love asking people why questions
Traditions, culture, beliefs..
I simply cannot follow blindly if I dont know the reason behind.
And it's so ironic that I hate to be asked that question.
Work is driving me crazy..
The moodiness is driving me crazy.
I hate the self induced stress that is stressing me out.

Dont ask me what I want..
I dont know.
But I do know what I dont want.

Blew my top just now..
Supposed I freaked my brother out cos he immediately offered to buy me chocolates..
And taught me a weird way to eat Tim Tam.
Sucking hot milo using a frozen Tim Tam.
And then putting the entire half-melted chocolate into the mouth..
I really miss being a kid.

Another phase going down

A slurring month..
Drifted in and out of delirium.
Dreams overlapped reality..
Reality in dreams.

The mind became weak, the body gave in.
Suddenly everything became pointless for me to support anymore.
I stopped fighting the drudgery.
It came unto me.
The immense pressure piled on..
And the mood swings turned wild.
Three days of casting everything aside..
Naught enough.

The long route to work gave me nightmares.
Blisters and more bloody blisters.
Aching shoulders, slanting collar bone.
Round meeting tables..
Hypocritical faces.
People attended meetings without knowing the agenda.

The days ticked by like that.
Life becomes monotonous.
Even thinking what to have for lunch or dinner becomes irritable.
I have to watch my words.
I cant rant without people taking me too seriously.
If only..
Running away was just as easy as putting on my running shoes..

The part about having your own agenda

This upcoming DND is a total political joke.
My JD said I'm responsible for other company events but it doesnt say I'm responsible for all the shitty war going on.

First

We are supposed to dress up in air stewardess uniforms..
The samples really make a real air stewardess cringe and recoil in exasperation.
They are definitely not the real authentic stuff.
The S size looked like a batik pyjamas on me.
And I would have to fork out my own money to alter a pyjamas.

The first round of committee meeting had all of us voting whether to go ahead with the uniforms.
I'm the only who doesnt like the idea.
So I'm overruled.
We HAVE to try on the samples.

Then after trying on the samples, another committee member even said she is going to ask a make up artiste to come on the day to do up the hair and make up just like those of an air stewardess.
OMG
And then we were asked to VOTE again.

Vote my ass,
What's the point of voting when you already planned to go ahead?
I replied a NO again.

Second

Coll B approached me after the email was sent out asking us to vote.
She is not going to attend the dinner as an air stewardess but planning to attend the dinner in a first officer outfit, with pilot bands, hats and stuff.
Having a plan on her own to do a little role play..
She asked if I wanted to join her to be two pretty first officers alongside the "drunk" ang moh pilot.
The drunk pilot would go around sabotaging the bosses AND the "air stewardess".
This is getting way too far..

So it's either I'm one of the pilots against the air stewardess or I'm one of the air stewardess who will eventually get hit on by the pilots.

The two of them had their own personal war to begin with..
The battle ground became such a big joke now.
I havent been contradicting myself right from the beginning.
I've been allocated duties and I do find it hard to follow through another imaginary stage that I set for myself and I definitely dont like being caught in one of my own lies.
And because I know it's shit, I did not like the idea of throwing them to my fellow coll who is supposed to help me out.

But the last straw came.
Took me so long to finally heck the bloody care off everything.
They both have their agendas and I'm going to have my own for once.

Sunday, December 19

Life’s really busy for the past few weeks..
Buzzing around non stop..
Xmas is coming and it’s my favorite time of the year..
The year is ending with the anticipation of a better new year..
The mood is right, the atmosphere is light.
People give without the expectations of getting something back.
Gatherings happened not because they feel obligated to visit one another
But because people enjoy feasting together..
Very different from CNY..

2010 has been one filled with BIG decisions.
And it's good to end the year with more fulfillments I’m proud to call mine.
The mind has been running 24/7, even my weekends are not spared.
On one hand..
I know it’s sort of crazy to suddenly engage myself with so much concurrent stuff.
I’m really working myself to death..
Dead tired till I cannot sleep.

On the other hand..
The sadistic part of me actually misses this non-work related stress.
I miss studying.
I miss the stress of being back in school, being in class taking notes furiously,
I miss the attempt to fall asleep with my eyes open =)
Just that this time
The trainers are so interesting that it’s hard to fall asleep.
It’s more like attending seminars that allow you to share interesting experiences.

Probably by the end of the whole course
I can jolly well be an emcee for dinner and dance functions.
Bloody hell
The team mates practically ask me to do everything..
They gave me ideas in Chinese and asked me to translate.
They said they have never done power points
(Me too what, and it’s really not that difficult duh)
They asked me to present because they cannot speak well.
They told me no choice cos my IT and English is better than all of them -.-

Being busy is good..
Classes seminars meetings..
Stock take, migration, branding, research..
The big project coming up end next year..
And making sure never to compromise on running sessions and family time..
It’s late, but I’m trying to make up for lost time.
Really ought to kick myself for procrastinating for 6 years.
Doing things with a passion really feels different.
Really keeps you going no matter how tired you are..
Just that I need more time..
I need more quality sleep.

The funny round thing that made 25 men run after it..
The 32 international teams that start off the every 4 years once kick off
The large colorful human mob that goes wild..
The time when the internet traffic ironically becomes slower after Starhub and Singtel TV charges $70 to $90 for a month of football frenzy.

World Cup is such such a big thing.

The official WC 2010 song

Waka Waka (This time for Africa)

The song that was used in the Coca Cola ad..

K'NAAN - Wavin' Flag (Coca-Cola Celebration Mix)

*****

A snippet from 1998,
When autobiographies were such a hit among the graduating classes.
When I was utterly and hopelessly addicted to WC 1998..

Photobucket

Back then,
I religiously woke up in the middle of the night to packs and containers of Pringles and Pocky bought or won from "bets" with my brothers and cousins.
Memorised the names of every single player from the Brazil and Holland team..
And hated the France team just because they beat Brazil in the finals..

Those were the times...
And that addiction is back to stay..
All thanks to that Man U fan
-.-

P/S: Why must Brazil meet Holland at such an early stage..??!!

Monday, May 31

The month of May

Two weddings and a funeral..

Liza's Wedding

A Muslim Wedding

She was not someone who was close to me when we were in Secondary Three or even Four.
Only upon the O Levels Graduation
We went to NYJC together, went to the same Literature class together unknowingly..
And that was how I gradually got to know this crazy girl better..
And then finally during our 3 months short stint at IRAS, she became my lunch buddy and we got closer.
Just so happen the 2 of us got into SIM without even mentioning our next path to each other.
We'd exchange notes, confide in each other over money woes, lament about the long revision hours..
And after school,
We'd usually go shopping together and had a bonkers hell of fun..
In short, we watch each other grow through a small distance of life..

Photobucket

The area was decorated in the girly pastel hues.
I thought Malay weddings are almost always exquisitely decorated..
Intuitively,
They simply knew how to put all the right colors and the flow of drapes together,
All made possible without spending a bomb.

Photobucket

She arrived in her black gown with gold embroidery..
Soo pretty, absolutely her.
Her mascot, just as suave, in his number one.

They freed a pair of love birds, symbolically.
And then gave their speech.

Photobucket

Look at the happy bride and groom..

Photobucket

After a couple of heartbroken encounters,
She finally found one she could settle down with =)

Jamie's Wedding

A Church Wedding

Funny how I attended the very few special kind of marriage unions.
And did not know how much ang bao to give -.-
The church was soooo in the midst of some private houses that no one knew where that was.
Okie if I tell you the church is at Highland Road..
Do you know where that heightened land was?
Not even the cab driver knew..
And I mean three different cab drivers.
Cos the three of us took cab separately and all got lost.

I knew Jamie during my 3 months IRAS stint.
Yes Liza and Jamie both knew each other.
Hahaha..
One wedded the beginning of May
The other the end of May.

Photobucket

When I first knew her..
She gave me the ridiculously smart impression.
She came from RGS and RJC then went on to Law School.
Indeed a pretty and outspoken academic I've personally known..

Hmm
A church wedding is a melodic one..
A lot of songs sung, a lot of recitals.
The procession took place longer than I thought.

Photobucket

After the solemnisation,
We proceeded to the hall for some light lunch.

Had a nice chat session with them..
Finally..

The Wake

Honestly speaking,
I havent really been to one wake which I'm conscious of all the unmentionables.

You have to take a sweet and eat it
You have to take a red thread and then throw away..
You cant say hello or goodbye to the living loved one when you arrived or when you are leaving..?!

Qing's mom passed on.
Which I heard breast cancer discovered on Good Friday.
Exactly 8 weeks later, she left.
The minute I heard the news, I was..
Stunned.
My heart really went out to her.
I did not know how else to describe it.
Being the only child, the departure of one parent falls solely on her.
I guess no one would not know how to handle this in her shoes.

The pain of someone passing on is being borne by the living next of kin.
Very often we find ourselves not knowing what to ask or what to say to them.
Deaths are not something that you keep finding wood to touch at the mention of it.
The word funeral is not a taboo by itself.
They are merely the customary rituals that are followed through according to various cultures and religions.
Death is but part and parcel of life.
Death is so much more..
Everyone has to go through it.

Mentioning death does not mean that you will strike bad luck and die earlier..
Going to funerals does not mean you live a shorter life.
And touching wood all over the place doesnt mean the bad luck will go away if Murphy decides he is infatuated with you.

I honestly have no idea how the elders derived at some possibly superstitious illogical concepts.
Don't get me wrong.
I don't mock them and I will not refuse to conform..
It's just a train of why questions..

Being "pantang" has no boundaries if you ask me..
Absolutely anything can be taboo.
There is much more significance that people sometimes overlook by being too preoccupied with superstitions.

Attending a wake of someone whom you know of, or related to someone you know..
There is really no need to avoid it..
I thought it only shows the respect you have for the next of kin, the concern you have for him or her.
You never know how important your moral support is to them..

Life after the death of a loved one..
Brandish a whole new level of independence.

You need to adapt to life without the deceased..
You need to get used to the fact that he or she can never be around anymore.
You need to move on in life even though memories haunt you mercilessly..
You need to learn to cry freely.

Easier said than done.
But this is life.

*****

This stage's drama is filled with all things happy and sad.
We laugh we cry and laugh again.
Some celebrate their birthdays, walk down the aisle, or even welcome a child to this world..
And at the very same minute
Some discovered their terminal illnesses, mourn the loss of their loved ones, some passed on..
That veil of different scenes..
So far yet so near.
Just a lift of the curtain, the platform is but ONE.

Couldn't believe I was forced to miss that ultimately..

Friday, April 9

Busy busy busy..
Stressfully stressed.

Just like those tower shots right up to the skies and then down to the pits again..
Worse than a roller coaster ride.
Emotions went haywire
My head split dozen folds.

Time ticked so fast that I had absolutely no idea where I am going.
Met five people since 27 Feb 2010..
People whom I would never imagine myself meeting them.

Photobucket

Felt like a kid trapped in a grown up body..
Dear and I took leave on Friday to run errands.
Really errands.

And guess where we went to for brunch?

Photobucket

Same seats same brunch same dish for me =p

*****

Medical check up thereafter.
Eye sight test, urinal test, blood test.
Everything was fine, 'cept for the last.
It shouldnt be a problem for me because I was twice a blood donor..
Perhaps that was five years back..
And the doctor could not find my veins.
Felt the needle digging beneath my skin eagerly just to find blood.
Failed on both arms.
Because the doctor used his rubber glove to tie around my upper arm, felt nauseous and almost black out from the lack of blood flow to the rest of my arms.
And I had to return a second time.

Thursday, March 4

Been feeling out of sorts lately.
Strained.
Stressed.
Simply jaded.

The feeling of trying to be confident when I'm absolutely not, came back to haunt.

Audit is really as what Suki says picking bones in eggs..
But how to pick the bones if you are not that familiar with that scope?
The checklist is there to follow alright..

But what on earth is Audit if the person who created that checklist was the one who decides the project to be audited and simply made sure that the things mentioned in the list of cheemology are conformed?

I had a hard time picking those bones.
Now I'm not even sure if those bones are really bones or metaphorically, veins.

*****

Sometimes lines are not drawn very clearly,
Sometimes there isnt enough time to make a choice..
Sometimes sometimes sometimes..
Situations happen.

So I made a quick decision that day with 4 faces staring intently at me.
But was given a piece of mind later..
And I cant find my voice..

Havent felt so incompetent,
So lousy..
Okie I made a futile decision.

Just like a bird with chipped wings
It lost its sense of direction, becoming a lifeless object swayed by the wind, manoeuvred wherever the wind takes.

I just felt, useless.

Thursday, November 26

Took leave on Tuesday.
A long planned day packed with errands.
Went out with mommy and daddy.

Hidden behind my glasses and the big shades..

Photobucket

First off to the bank..
Then got the flickering stove settled and the spoilt TV settled.
Popped over to Ikea to get daddy's metal document holder(s)..
10 of them in exact =x

First timers to Ikea.
LOL
See how much they enjoyed it.

Photobucket

Mommy got stuck at the kitchen section..
Daddy seemed interested in the DIY glass shelves..
A seemingly fresh concept brewing in his mind on his figurines.
I was contented following them around..
Taking both mental and digital photographs of them..

Photobucket

Guessed staying in the same house for more than 20 years has robbed them the joy of shopping for furniture, together.
I simply cannot remember when was the last time we did serious shopping for new furniture.
Things now remain where they are..
Never moved unless they deteriorate beyond repair.

Ikea had the most creative concepts possible,
And the best of all..
They tantalize you to come out with more creations on your own =)

The innovative team behind showed how it is possible to do up your own home without burning a huge hole in the pockets.
The people who do not fancy Ikea are probably people who are either damn rich, or they simply lack innovation.

The Xmas theme is pleasantly evident now.

Photobucket

My folks seemed to enjoy the day..
Walking around aimlessly, striking things done off the to-do list and only to stop for meals.
Funny how daddy commented that it was a good thing I was with them, else they would be squabbling again.
And god, my dad can definitely walk..
I'm still pretty amazed how much distance he could walk from Raffles Place all the way to Chinatown..
Then we took a bus to Queensway and walked to Ikea and inside Ikea.
Aftermath, walked the distance back to Queenstown MRT.

*****

It was a wicked scare after a run when you looked into the mirror only to find a totally different person staring back at you.
My face was horribly and morbidly distorted Monday night.
Total mutation.
Every time I tried to open my eyes, tears spring.
The youngest one warned me not to get a shock when I looked into the mirror.
And I scared the shit out of mommy and daddy.
Don said I was doing the Frankenstein.

Not the first time.
And I cannot seem to find the root to my problems.
The worst thing is,
The condition worsened each time.
The first big infection recovered by the following morning.
The following one recovered by the following noon.
This time round it took me two days and the swell on my top cheeks are still prominent.

My leave became a medical one.
What on earth is happening to me??!

"Can Pakistan accept Heat treated Crate"

It all started with the very poor handling by the supplier.
So bad that the carton box that was shipped in was beyond repair.
So the most feasible suggestion given to her colleague (not her) was to ask a subcontractor to re-crate it for a safer re-export.
Then this question rebounded from her.

Got a very fine mind to reply her:

No they cant.
Only cold metal crates so that they can melt them for more resources later on.

As usual,
Her lack of knowledge obviously made her do the obvious.
Throw the question at someone else.
In fact,
I actually have to thank her for it.
If not for her,
I will probably be too lazy to finish reading the whole publication.
It's not a must to know, but good to know.

But as I was trying to know more..
Information overloaded, tabs all over the place.
Cant these ostentatious people use simple English?

IPSM IPP NPPO FAO HT MB !@#$%^&#;*
WTH they did not even cover a tiny bit of these topics in Uni..

For the whole of the past week..
No mood to blog, no inspiration, insipidity overcomes..

Funny how the lack of chalking words become evident when you are taking in others' thoughts.

Wednesday, September 23

Attended a Microsoft seminar that noon..
Came upon these beautifully carved out ice blocks in the heart of Raffles Place..
Meant as gimmicks for the Bloomberg advertisement.

Made of real ice blocks..
The crew crafted out the dates and time to tune in to Bloomberg..
And then left them to melt in the open heat under the very eyes of passerbys.
They proceeded to another platform to start from scratch again.
Awesome pieces of art!

bloomberg advert

Doesn't life equate to these ice blocks..?
Beautiful when born, strong and sturdy for a while, mellowed as time passes by..
Thereafter melting into nothingness..

*****

Just on Friday,
The company's pioneers gathered all the department representatives..
Celebrating the 70th birthday of big boss.

The planned surprise was supposed to go like this:

The organisers,
A provided the budget (my guess)
B and C did the planning and lunch catering coordination.

The coordinators,
D ordered the bouquet of flowers and provided pieces of heart-shaped colored papers for all the ladies to write their well wishes on them.
E ordered the cake and was staged to bring the cake out to boss.

The rest of the peeps were supposed to gather at a common area where B would bring the boss down for his surprise.
But before the lights could go off and before everyone was neatly gathered, boss came down.
Then E pushed the cake out to boss..
And then he grabbed her tightly and thanked her furiously for organizing..
In a manner as though she was the only organiser..

Smiling faces suddenly changed to disgusted dismay.

Bizarrely,
I sort of enjoyed the show from afar.
The languid smiles and applause painted a pretty picture..
But their body languages cannot lie =)

When favouritism is evidently magnified..
When efforts are put in for a motive..
When one tries too hard to please the boss and expects something in return from him..
Disappointments are bound to stay for good.

Shared these observations with mommy one morning..
This was what she said..

观察别人归观察,
最重要的是要提醒自己不要变成这样。。

She never never fails to ground me with such simple reminders, brings me back to earth.
She is my Mommy..

*****

During the Microsoft seminar,
We saw a stark contrast to the above office scenario.

The presenter was slightly an hour more into his session when..

He asked the attendees:
"How many of you prefer a break now, raise your hands..
Else I shall continue with one more topic before the break.."

Nobody moved a hair.

Then one attendee suggested asking the reverse.

The presenter asked again:
"All right,
How many of you prefer to continue with one more topic before the break, raise your hands.."

The audience was still dead..
Till everyone looked at one another and suddenly burst into laughter..

Well, there was no need for the presenter to ask in the first place.

Speaking of eccentricity..
Isn't it amusing how humans react at the cross roads of decisions..?
Remaining passive when you are supposed to take the lead..
And then feeling indignant when others tell you what to do..

Human beings..

*****

Been running like a mad dog the past week..
The fourth time since last Thursday.
I think I clocked 20km in total..?

Sounds like I'm training for some runs eh..
Not exactly in fact.
Sighz I dont know what had gotten into me..
Sadistically,
I guessed need some self-torture to force my mind away from nasty thoughts.
And I need some self-mortification to drive that slothful lethargy away.

When thoughts get overwhelming and I began hating myself..
I became sceptical of everyone else.
I scorned contemptuously at contradictions.
I mercilessly exposed the underlying motives of human behaviour.

This is when I knew I need solitary time off to refresh, rejuvenate..
To purge myself of those outrageous musings.

Saturday came..
Admittedly I was quite disturbed.
Yes, I brushed it off and that was because no one else could make me feel any better except myself.
I had to enlighten that devil inside..
And I eventually got over it.

I once commented I relentlessly found myself drifting further away..
I still am.

The theory of motivation in an organisation..
I thought this is one of the important motivators..
The sense of belonging.

Household chores

Sometimes it really baffles me
How reliant the guys are when it comes to simple housework.

Mommy had been out for the whole of last week.
I returned home day after day after work..
Only to find starving brothers and an equally water-deprived father..
Daddy said he could very well drink from the tap, not a big deal.

But when mommy came home,
He went up straight to mommy for the easy way out..
"I havent taken dinner eh, can cook maggi mee?"
Then he turned to me..
Even before I could catch my breath after getting the laundry and toilet done..
"Can boil hot water and make some milo for me?"
Then my brother came in
"I havent taken dinner too, I also want maggi mee.."
Mommy: o.0
Me: .. .. ..

Work

Been pretty dazed these past fortnight.
Tired, very tired.
Work gives no more perks except insoluble nonsense.
Rendering emails dreadful..
Hailing phone calls unnerving.

5 years into my job.
I did not become an expert.
I got comfortable instead.
Too complacent in fact.

5 years since I graduated.
All the resolute ideals that I once haboured seem so vague now..
I've tossed and turned in the huge filty tank enough.
Jaded, mellowed, dispirited right to the core.

5 years into the commercial world..
Still just not cut out to play such imbecile games.
Responsibilities shoved and then snowball..
Why, why the need for such disgusted games..

5 years, naught a decade.
How am I to survive the many more years to come..
Sometimes I wish I had more courage to walk the unknown..
To brace the storm ahead..
But alas, no.

I saw hesitance, I saw reluctance.

Thy name is a mere delusion.
Learning is just an excuse.
Money is perhaps the root of all evils..
Resolution needs a hell lot of revolution.

*****

Bitching

Just the other day at lunch,
We were sitted right beside this pair of disgruntled aunties.
One of them was whining to the other..
With obvious finger pointing and exclamation of names.
Apparently lamenting the similar issues faced in most organizations.
Colleagues shoving responsibilites, self-righteously acting important.
Trying to get round the wits of one another..
And then feeling a huge sense of achievement at the ludicrous ability of throwing the workload to another..

Most of us at some point in time..
We forget that we were supposed to work for this particular corporation, as a team.
We forget that the same particular organization supported our means of living all these while..
We simply forget gratitude.
What exactly is there to compete and fight about?
Papers? Emails?
Or intangible senselessness?

So this is how human beings sounded while bitching behind others' back..
Ugly.
Try facing the person whom you are displeased with..
Telling him straight in the face..
Do they have the courage?

In fact
It applies to us, no exceptions.

Economy, the noun
Economics, the theology
Economical, the adjective.

Sometimes I wonder the reel books of economics
Are they really useful tools to aid the ailing economy?
Consumer spending, govt spending, investments, exports, imports..
Monetary policies, fiscal policies..
Are they really useful for the real world?
One of my few favorite subjects in Uni..
But I actually dont see the practicality of these theories.

Either the real economy is too complicated for economical living..
Or the economy is simply made up of M.O.N.E.Y.
That is, the main policy driving the whole economy.
While the rest of the policies are just diplomatic tools to pacify the people..
Blown up and glorified.

We're listed as the second most expensive city in Asia.
Overtaking Hong Kong in the third place..
Well..
Is that something to be proud of?

Life comes to a dreaded standstill..
The appalling side of human behaviours
Often exposed only after a prolonged period of time.
It's either you only see the black or you open yourself to try accepting the white.
Just a switch of the mindset,
But necessary to get the mood back on track.

Tuesday, August 4

Saw something dumb that really left me amusingly dumbfounded.
It’s really an ultimate level of idiosyncrasy..
“Monkeys see monkey do”
"Monkeys make noise but no action..?"

*****

It all started many months ago..
Probably almost a year ago..
When the office cleaning auntie’s duties were taken over by another new auntie.
That was when the water point beside the toilet bowl began dripping non-stop and it got worse overtime..
The new auntie once complained to me about the leakage.
She said she had informed our office person in charge and that he would ask the janitor to look into it.
But it never happened.

Gradually
Every colleague whom I bumped into in the toilet would sigh/comment/complain that the water leakage was causing wet floors with dirty footprints and that no one contacted the plumber to do something.

Soon thereafter..
I saw this red pail being placed beneath the tap to contain the noisy dripping water.
Of course the small pail overflowed and the wet floor remained.

This very morning,
Somehow things really got worse and the water began spurting out by the sides and wet the toilet seats.

Subconsciously..
I suddenly stretched out my hand and turned the tap.
Slapped with a sudden realization..
…………

The freaking tap was “leaking” because because..

I cringed, and cringed and cringed..
ARGGGGH..

For the rest of the day
Everytime I went to the ladies..
The toilet was soooo quiet..
No more leaking and nobody asked how the tap stopped its leakage -.-
Except that the red pail was "sensibly" removed from beneath the tap and found its way back to the original position..
Perhaps everyone supposed the water suddenly realised its mistake and stopped leaking -.-
I cringed and cringed and cringed..
I wondered who was the very first bugger who claimed that the tap was leaking and then spread on that it was leaking..

How dumb..
Dumb dumb dumb dumb
If only I had realised it earlier..
I'm dumb dumb too..

Wednesday, July 8

The morning cab whizzed in and out between the heavy traffic..
Crossed lanes like nobody's business
Squeezed into whatever space it could find on the seemingly faster lane
Incited a few annoyed horns
And thought I would feel nauseous.
But in fact the thrill kept me awake.
Perverse and wicked
I admit I adore such dangerous driving..
Cos that will mean I do not need to suffer any carsickness.
And that I could get to office in the shortest possible time.

I sensed his fidgety disposition the minute I got onto the cab.
Subconsciously felt that he was pressed for time.
Just that I did not know how rushed was his rush..
Because before I could react rationally
He dropped me off at a junction to another cab before I could reach my destination..
A wholesome 10 minutes drive away from office. >,<
Technically speaking
I took two cabs to work o.0

*****

Noon came.
Suddenly had this sadistic urge to work my legs.
So I walked a total of 30 minutes and took a 10 minutes train ride..
Just to have this for lunch.
I love Mr Bean =)
