Brought dear to try out Canopy..
Almost a year since Suki, JS and I stepped foot in there..
Hoho..
The brunch menu which we missed the last time..
Not sure what's with the recent craze with brunches..
It seems like all freaking dining areas have to come up with their own brunch menus or they will lose the first advantage..
My Good Old Fluffy Ham and Mushroom Omelette with Spinach as an add-on..
His Eggs Royale
Very much half asleep..
Before the term Brunch even came to be so well known..
I only knew I love my bread and eggs.
Servings at most casual dining areas in Sg are too huge for a normal healthy lunch..
Imagine appetizers,
Then mains like chicken roulette, fish and chips, beef steaks..etc
And then coffee and tea plus dessert..
These usually fill me up very uncomfortably beyond dinner time..
If you ask me,
The enthusiasm with brunches does not come sprouting up without a reason..
The ingredients involved are lesser..
Bread and eggs are easier to prepare..
As I supposed most brunches do not come with coffee nor tea,
Diners usually order coffee or tea to go with their meal because the meal is a combination of breakfast and lunch.
Beverages in all restaurants and cafes generate the most revenue.
And because the meal aint that heavy, there is a high chance of desserts after meal..
If you already notice..
Brunches do not cost lesser than a standard western meal.
But I cannot deny I still love my bread and eggs..
Our meal adds up to $40.95 even without desserts =x

After Shutter Island,
We checked out the new bubble tea KOI opposite Bishan's CPF building.
I've been hearing good reviews on this bubble tea since stone age.
But seeing the unbelievable queue hits us in the face..
Is it really THAT good..?!
(Singaporeans are really suckers for new stuff)
I like the tea for its fragrance and small chewy pearls..
Every mouthful of tea is bursting with pearls..
The best of all..
They controlled the level of sweetness..
Perhaps reason for its popularity is due to the fact it came as a whole package from TW and that the customers can "customise" their bubble tea..
People who love bubble tea will very likely love KOI as well =)
