The I Square Sequels Weekend

Iron Man 2

Photobucket

Scientifically witty,
Graphics intriguing,
Action packed to the max..
Probably one of the few action movies with a lot of fast conversing dialogues.
And humor is pleasantly apparent.

With all the palladium poisoning talk and arc technology..
And Stark trying to find a new atomic element as a subsitute for palladium..
Not surprising at all if the crowd did not know what’s going on.

But
There were quite a number of wow factors when it comes to the actions..
Seeing how a structured suitcase transforms piece by piece of iron to suit a man..
Seeing how the two iron robots battle against each other
Seeing how that whiplash threatened to tore apart the iron suit..
And those sucks the oooh and ahhh out from the audience..

Of course there were times when the stage effects lapsed a little.
They sometimes forgot the small details of heavy iron landing impacts and sounds.
That was why I thought the iron robots felt light and non-metallic certain scenes.

Robert Downey Jr
His demeanour never fails to exude a tinge of humor.
Just like Johnny Depp
They belonged to the league of facial expressionless actors whose eyes speak a million words and whose body languages are very capable of making their audience laugh.

I heard that there is a little teaser after the credits finished rolling but we missed that.
Be prepared for Iron Man 3 as it’s a planned trilogy.

Ip Man 2

This show is a hit indefinitely among the Chinese.
It has brought me through a hell of an emotional roller coaster ride..

From utmost respect for the Wing Chun master..
To stitches in the stomach from the funny veteran actors
To the heightened injustice felt for the Chinese..
To seriously feel like slapping the pompous self-righteous English boxer’s face
And of cos the awe of the volley of continuous punches.

I simply refused to let the movie scenes vanish in my head..
It’s a movie definitely worthy to be reminisced time and time again.
The audience played a huge part too.
A fully occupied big theatre,
I could really feel the cheers and the jeers and the hearty laughter from every corner of the cinema..
We moved with the crowd.

The show ended with a impactful relay of messages.

No one man can stand alone.
No one martial art ruled the world.
No one man is superior over the others.

Every man may have different status in life.
But all deserves the same respect.

Ip Man 2 did not cool down the heat for Wing Chun like most sequels do to their predecessors.
In fact,
It spiced the heat up even further with this sequel.
I really hope there will be a third Ip Man..
Focusing on the early life of how Bruce Lee is inspired by Wing Chun.

One can never get enough of Donnie Yen.
