The movie title is not one that could induce me to patronise it.
It was one of those that I would not even pause to ask myself what kind of movie it is.
Till from many words of mouth..
That it was a pretty worthy show.
We entered the cinema with no expectations at all.
As usual the 3D title hung on to it just like it would for the recent movies.
And honestly,
I did not know the show was adapted from the book by Cressida Cowell.
The turning point of the whole show came when Hiccup realised he could not bear to kill the village's most dangerously perceived enemy, Night Fury..
The most intelligent of all dragon species..
The swiftest and the most deadly..
Distinguished by its dark color and striking greenish yellow eyes..
Which could switch from the piercingly defensive glare to the playfully inviting gaze within moments..
And it was the same monster whom Hiccup ironically named him as Toothless.
Well..
Toothless eats fish..
LOL
Yes not red meat, but fish.
And if he takes something that he doesnt like..
The food will disappear under his breath of fire.
Very unexpectedly cute..
A surprisingly light hearted show..
Blew us away totally..
Some real serious educational learning material for kids and adults.
The dragons in the show are deftly animated like pets and that gave the movie a very humane feel..
Sending the correct message that even beasts do have their soft sides..
Like human beings,
They only turned aggressive when they are afraid and provoked.
The most effective way to train an almost-impossible-to-train species is subtly showcased in the show.
Neither force nor violence can tame the beast..
But affection and devotion does the work perfectly.
By truly understanding the creature, you can grasp its strengths and weaknesses.
And even win his unimaginable loyalty.
Perhaps that is the only relation I can think of behind the movie title.
Got to be one of the best animated films to date =)
