Leonardo Da Vinci (1452-1519)
Italian polymath, scientist, military strategist, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, painter, artist, sculptor, architect, botanist, musician, writer and philosopher.
One hell of an utterly completely extremely crazy genius who probably belonged to the future during his time.
His famous works included
The Mona Lisa painting, The Last Supper, the Vitruvian Man (the proportions of man)
Find me another man who has his right and left brain working in perfect and utilized sync with each other.
Just when you thought his great works ended at his paintings..
He was also the inventor of machines like helicopters, hydraulic pumps, tanks, bullets, the pulley systems, gears etcetera..
How to fly,
How to walk on water,
How to cut through air at the fastest possible speed..
He constantly observes the most nitty gritty details of life and noted them down in his journal..
And believed that artistic works require the aid of science to be complete..
Faces and emotions,
Architecture and war machines,
The dissection of both human and animal body parts..
The latter is called anatomy.
He dissected the human skull, the human skeleton and internal organs..
Then drew them for studies.
He closely observed and recorded the effects of age on muscles, of human emotions on the physiology..
Studying in particularly the effects of rage.
The fetus in the womb, muscles and sinews, the heart and vascular system, sex organs..

The exhibition showcased the huge range of Da Vinci’s capabilities and talents..
I was awed indeed..
Dear said he was a sick man.
I thought he probably wasn’t mortal.
Accurate replicas of his machine inventions were present at the exhibition.
While some models allowed interactions, most models did not.
The most frustrating prohibition was that cameras are not allowed inside the hall >,<
The paintings..
Very delicate masterpieces..
The use of many colors on the paintings was still evident after years of deterioration..
What amazed us was the 25 revelations of the Mona Lisa painting..
We simply could no understand what exactly was phenomenal about the list mentioned..
There wasn’t much depth in the revelations..
I thought Dan Brown’s novel revealed more secrets on the painting..?!
Yes there is a blotch mark near the inner left eye of the painting as well as her chin..
That her dress has got lace..
That she actually had eyebrows..
That Mona Lisa’s finger remained unfinished..
The bottom line is
Instead of hailing “25 secrets of Mona Lisa revealed”..
Wouldnt “25 secrets behind the Mona Lisa painting” a more accurate representation?
At the end of the exhibition..
There lies a list of his philosophical quotes..
A few caught my attention..

It suddenly dawned on me that the painting isn’t the focal objective of the exhibition.
The genius himself is.
His works are all distributed around Europe.
