If you ever go Bishan for a meal or something, try this naught.
Labour Day
Out of the blue,
I could not remember why I suggested trying this new "HK cafe" before the movie.
Mmmm..
The bland and watery fish porridge came with a bang (pun not intended)
We asked for another spoon..
The spoon and extra bowl came with a bang too.
Then the rosti came without chopsticks.
(Yesh those tiny strands of potato are called rosti)
We had to get our own chopsticks at the area where the bunch of aunties gathered, chatting.
Then one of them noticed the sceptical amusement on our faces and came over to ask if we ordered rice..
The prawn paste chicken wings came.
But the meat was..hardly tender.
The corner of my eyes suddenly caught sight of the receipt..
Without a doubt deservingly, there was no service charge.
But still..
Not trying to land those aunties into trouble,
We honestly felt that the cafe had employed a surplus of seriously untrained middle-aged women who appeared black faced most of the time.

The food was really no where near HK food.
You can pop into any HK cha chan teng and the food will taste good.
And what is rosti doing on a HK menu?

After the movie,
Check this out.
Dear just saved another twenty plus perhaps..?
On his haricut.
Nice?

Alexandra Road twice in a weekend..
Indeed a brainstorming and brainwashing figures-filled weekend.
Another huge eye opener for me..
I'm..amazed.
That was also how we ended up in Ikea for two consecutive days.
