*Warning: Looooong post*
If one had noticed, Sakae subtly changed their menu every now and then..Settling into the CWP outlet, the waiter continued to rant on the number of promotions they had for credit cards..Or spend a minimum amount of $30 and you shall get a red plate at $2.50 ecetra..Good effort on the marketing side to retain customers, especially even essentially so when Japanese eateries sprung up like mushrooms almost everywhere..

One fine evening after work,We had wanted to try Kuriya buffet at Jurong Point..Yes, Jurong Point..They opened a Japanese street that carried Ichiban Sushi, Kushin Bo, Tori-Q ecetra..But the dinner buffet was a bomb, we hence settled for this..A new 24-hour Cha Chan Teng by The Banquet. The fried rice was good, but the noodles a tad too oily..Loved their dessert though..Sweetened milk with fruits served in a coconut. The mixture of citrus tinge and the fresh coconut flesh actually goes together quite well..

After settling the domestic flights, the WOW cards and aimless walking around in search for winter wear..
We chilled out at Gloria Jeans Coffee..
Something that we wanted to try out for quite sometime..
As always, we find it a joy to patronise, to relax and give critiques to cafes..
Whether cafes really make profits has always been an understatement..
Providing a relaxing place for chilling out, they often risk having patrons who sit and occupy the place for the whole day..It doesnt appear that they could survive, but end of the day closing of the cash box, you will be surprised with the day's turnover.
We looked at the crowd, we scrutinised and savoured the cakes, we sipped their coffees, we think of the what ifs and the ideal methods to operate a cafe if we had one..
Cafes mostly operate as franchised business..
How I wish I really owned one..

I looove cafes..
Messing around restlessly..
Finally, I managed to foam my mouth without looking like some puke..
Then Dear ordered this snack that looked exactly like Bengawan Solo's "Coconut Kuey"
What was really inside was intriguing..
We also found that Gloria Jeans exclusively PVC-stamped their name on all disposable wares..
Which we thought it was a lil tad waste of resources but still a good form of identity..
On the overall, enjoyed the lightness of the meal..
Something that you cant find out of the food court or restaurant's heavy meals..

Combed PS..
It was Manhattan Fish Market again..
I was totally shag out..
And all I could think of was the baked fish with garden herbs and butter rice..
One main and two sides was all it took to fill us to the brim..
As usual,
The fish market's standard never fails to impress..
Sinking your teeth into the fried mushroom only reward you with the succulent texture of the fat fungi.
It really perked me up after a hard day at work..

We tried something new..
Sizzling Louisiana Prawns..
You could dip the slices of baguette provided in its lousiana sauce..
Something slightly thicker than the soup of the day with a tinge of acidic touch that tasted like tomatoes that instantly wet up your appetite.
Haven!
The friendly crew was all dressed up in Halloween's accessories and taking your orders without having a note pad to jolt down your orders.
Witches hats, pumpkins deco..
It wasnt a tremendous effort, but they made the atmosphere just enough to feel a lil halloween..

It was daddy's birthday dinner at a vegetarian restaurant in Quality Hotel.
Asked the kids and their family along cos the young Ann Kok's birthday happened to fall 2 days before daddy's.
The food was not bad.. Cereal butter prawns, mushrooms and more mushrooms, shark fins soup, abalone spinach..
Who says vegetarian food lack spice?

Ever since the vegetarian store downstairs dissipated into thin air, Daddy seemed to have a penchant of looking out for new vegetarian eateries..
Perhaps it was mommy's influence, not bad though =)

The infamous boss who founded floss on bread ventured into another innovative idea..
He set up Toast Box..
Somewhat I thought it was like a rival for Ya Kun..
Just better, because they served more than bread.
I'd always wanted to try this different breed of floss on bread..
Finally after Toast Box started quite sometime ago..
Had this for dinner =p
