This red
Is the part two of the Nike feat.
11000 people.
We had to queue to be flagged off..
Thank goodness the clouds held their water bags..
The weather just a nice one =)
The wave of neon RED blew us away..
Very seldom that we manage to motivate ourselves on individual running sessions..
With this swarm of bright red, nothing is impossible..
Even for a very first attempt on the 10km feat.
The atmosphere there
Overwhelming and speechless astonishment..period.
There were actually some hiccups during the race..
Bottlenecks forced us to walk just shortly affter we managed to pace our runs..
Momentum dead,
Even jogging on the spot risked burning our energy faster than we could imagine.
Actually felt an increasing sourness in both calves everytime we tried to take off again after that halt.
On and off we were like cars trying to overtake the hoggers on a different lane..
And each time we did that, we shall risk bumping into another oncoming..
But this is the love and hate factor of mass runs isnt it?
At the last kilometer,
I felt as if I was pulling a trishaw full of ang mohs..
My tired legs refused to take bigger steps..
But I completed my first 10km, with pride of course..
Heee..
Always room for improvements..
If there is anything to describe human rights,
this is it at this point in time.
Must say Nike has indeed done the human race (pun intended) proud..
A very witty marketing campaign that is socially meaningful..
Seems like almost everyone in the race had on some new Nike apparels as inspired by this race..
Suki and I are no exceptions =p
Will I do 10 km runs again?
Definitely..
Just Do It.
