A Japanese essayist and an American photojournalist got married..
Abandoned the city life to embrace an organic and simple way of life.
They came up with a concept of setting up a harvest in name Brown Fields.
They live their lives by holding workshops and writing books on organic food and its receipes to good healthy food, while at the same time providing a channel for the bustling city dwellers to slow down, sit back and relax, to gather inspirations for their interests, in short to forget their woes.
Browsing through their sites, was starkly hit with a realisation that a simple life can be that colorful..

Another couple lived their lifes by dyeing fabrics from natural plants and fruits, with a strict motto that they will only take from nature whatever is necessary and nothing more.
Reminds me of ancient heros who go up the mountains to look for herbs for medicinal purposes.

Recycled into pretty little brooches and badges.
The couple designs the brooches, husband cuts the wood, the wife files and paints.
They fought hard for 4 years before having a stable income.

Is being compensated by environmentalists cum designers to create beautiful pieces of artwork like these tote bags which we did come across in SG too.
